Ø  PM Modi leaves for Davos to attend World Economic Forum
Ø  Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Davos, Switzerland to attend the 48th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum. He will lead the largest-ever Indian delegation comprising Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu among others. The theme of the WEF Annual Meeting this year is ‘Creating a shared future in a fractured world’. As many as six union ministers, two chief ministers, over 100 CEOs and several other high-profile attendees from India will be are a part of the India contingent at WEF. WEF 2018 will also see the largest ever proportion of women leaders including all co-chairs being women this time.
Ø   Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu arrives for ‘historic’ visit to India
Ø  Keen to strengthen bilateral relations “even more”, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived on a six-day visit along with the largest business delegation that has ever accompanied an Israeli premier on an overseas tour. The visit marks 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and takes place about six months after Modi’s trip to Israel, the first by an Indian prime minister to the Jewish state.

Ø  Sushma Swaraj embarked on tour of 3 Southeast Asian Nations
Ø  External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj left on a 5-day visit to three South East Asian countries – Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore. On the first leg of the visit, Ms Swaraj will reach Thailand and will hold an official meeting with Thai Foreign Affairs Minister Don Pramudwinai. During the visit to Indonesia, Ms Swaraj will co-chair the 5th meeting of India-Indonesia Joint Commission. In Singapore, the External Affairs Minister will inaugurate the Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas of ASEAN countries. She will have bilateral meetings with the leaders in Singapore.
