Ø  ISRO Launches Navigation Satellite IRNSS-1L

Ø  The Indian Space Research Organisation launched the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System-1L, the eighth such satellite to be a part of a constellation. It was launched from the first launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

Ø  Pak successfully test fires Submarine Launched Cruise Missile BABUR

Ø  Pakistan conducted successful test fire of indigenously developed Submarine Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM) BABUR having a range of 450 KMs. SLCM BABUR is capable of delivering various types of payloads and incorporates state of the art technologies.

The hypersonic missile has been described as “Kinzhal missile” – named after a type of dagger – as “an ideal weapon”. The Kinzhal is said to travel at 10 times the speed of sound and have a range of 2,000 km (1,200 miles).
