Ø  World’s Tallest Hotel ‘Gevora’ opens in Dubai
Ø  The Gevora Hotel in Dubai, developed by the Al Attar Group has now become the “world’s tallest hotel”. It stands 356 metres and 53 centimetres tall. It is one metre taller than the previous holder of the title, the JW Marriott Marquis, in the same city. The title has been confirmed by Guinness Book of World Records.
Ø  China reopens Nathu La route
Ø  China has confirmed “resumption” of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through the Nathu La route. Kailash Mansarovar yatra via Nathu La was not undertaken last year after the Chinese govt cited “unfavourable conditions” to ensure safe & smooth conduct of the yatra on this route. The yatra was stopped by China in the aftermath of the military face-off with India last year at Doklam.
Ø  UAE launches World’s Longest Zip Line

Ø  The United Arab Emirates has made a record by opening the world’s longest zip line, measuring 2.83 km in length. Guinness World Records officials certified the zip line in Ras al-Khaimah. The Jebel Jais Flight takes thrill-seekers atop the country’s largest mountain peak, from a launch pad 1,680 meters (5,512 feet) above sea level.
