Ø  Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati passes away
Ø  Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal, the Kanchi Shankaracharya, passed away on 28, February 2018 in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. He was 82. He was 69th pontiff of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. He will be succeeded by the junior pontiff Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi, the 70th Shankaracharya of Kamakoti Peetam traditionally referred to as Kamakshi.
Ø  Former Cabinet Secretary T.S.R. Subramanian Passes Away
Ø  Former Cabinet Secretary T.S.R. Subramanian passed away. He was 79. Mr Subramanian was a 1961 batch officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He served as Cabinet Secretary from August 1996 to March 1998. Mr. Subramaninan was part of a group of bureaucrats and diplomats on whose petition the Supreme Court in 2013, rolled out key civil services reforms.
Ø  Legendary Bollywood Actress Sridevi Passes Away
Ø  Veteran Bollywood actress and Padma Shri awardee Sridevi, who had an illustrious career spanning over four decades, passed away. She was 54. Sridevi was died due to cardiac arrest in Dubai. She went on a hiatus for 15 years after starring in home production — “Judaai” — co-starring her brother-in-law Anil Kapoor and Urmila Matondkar. It was director Gauri Shinde’s “English Vinglish” in 2012 that marked Sridevi’s comeback.
Ø  Renowned Violinist MS Anantharaman passes away
Ø  Noted violinist M.S. Anantharaman, an exponent of Parur style of violin playing had passed away. He was 94 and is survived by his sons M.S. Sundaresan and M.A. Krishnaswamy and daughter M.A. Bhagirati, all of whom are proficient in Carnatic music.
Ø  Evangelist Billy Graham dies at 99
Ø  The Rev. Billy Graham, one of the world’s most famous Christian evangelists, has died at the age of 99. The evangelist brought his “Billy Graham Crusades” around the world, preaching to more than 210 million people in 185 countries and territories. His largest such gathering drew 1 million people in Seoul, South Korea, in the 1970s. As Graham prepared at age 86 for what he called his final U.S. crusade, a three-day event in New York City the weekend of June 25, 2005, he pondered his own mortality.
Ø  Odisha’s first female filmmaker Parbati Ghose passes away
Ø  Parbati Ghose, Odisha’s first female filmmaker, passed away recently following a prolonged illness. She was 85. Parbati Ghose was born in Cuttack district in 1933, Parbati started as a child artiste in All India Radio and soon moved to the silver screen, also as a child artiste, playing Nila Madhava in Shri Jagannath (1949).

Ø  Acclaimed Icelandic musician and Oscar-nominated composer Johann Johannsson has passed away aged 48. In 2014, he was nominated for BAFTA, Grammy and Oscar awards for his score for ‘Theory of Everything’, and won the Golden Globe award, making him one of the most well-known composers Iceland has produced.
Ø  Pakistani Activist Asma Jahangir passes away
Ø  Asma Jahangir, Pakistan’s renowned human rights lawyer, social activist and an outspoken critic of the country’s powerful military establishment, passed away of cardiac arrest. She was 66. She was the first woman to serve as the president of Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan.
Ø  Renowned literature Chandrasekhar Rath passes away
Ø  Renowned Odia literature Chandrasekhar Rath passed away at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar following age-related ailments. He was 89 and is survived by his wife, three daughters and a son. Rath has written several novels, short stories, essays and poems during his illustrious career. Rath was conferred with several awards including Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award, Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award and Atibadi Jagannath Das Samman for his contribution in the field of literature.
Ø  Actor John Mahoney passes away
Ø  Actor John Mahoney passed away after brief illness in Chicago, the USA. He was 77 years old. He was well-known for playing the title character in the “Frasier” show. He worked in films for nearly 35 years. His important works are “The American President”, “Moonstruck”, “In the Line of Fire” and “Say Anything”.
Ø  Kathakali Maestro Madavoor Vasudevan Nair passes away
Ø  Kathakali maestro Madavoor Vasudevan Nair collapsed on stage and died while performing at Agasthyacodu Mahadeva Temple, Kerala. He was 89. A recipient of several awards, including Padma Bhushan, he was the follower of the Kaplingattu School, the particular style of south Kerala.
Ø  Hukum Singh passes away
Ø  BJP MP Hukum Singh passed away in Uttar Pradesh after suffering from breathing difficulties for long. He had hogged the headlines in 2016 after he released a list of Hindu families and alleged that there had been a mass exodus of Hindus from his constituency. He was an MLA in Uttar Pradesh for seven terms and a minister in the state before entering the Lok Sabha in the 2014 polls.
Ø  World’s Oldest Man Francisco Nunez Olivera passes away at 113

Ø  The world’s oldest man Francisco Nunez Olivera has died just over a month after celebrating his 113th birthday. He was 10 years old when World War One broke out. He passed away in Spain where he had lived throughout his life. He was born on December 13, 1904.
